We developed an innovative automated production process for bicycle frames to bring production back to the Netherlands.
Our high tech process is a much needed update on the 200-year old labour intensive outdated process that is still used by the majority of the bicycle industry.
A Mokumono frame starts out as two flats sheets of aluminium, which are pressed into shape to form two mirrored frames halves.
The halves are then, together with the bottom bracket, head tube, and seat post, welded with a robotic 3D laser to complete the frame.
In 2017 we're awarded the prestigious Gold Award at the Eurobike, the world's biggest bicycle fair.
The Gold Award is given to those innovations that set the future benchmark for the entire industry.
